Paul A. Church, M.D.

Retiring as of November 1, 2017

Dr. Church has spent the last 30 years of his career in practice as a urology specialist in Boston. He is a graduate of Cornell University Medical College (now Weill Cornell), where he earned awards and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.  He completed his Urology training in New York City at The New York Hospital.  Dr. Church  joined the staff of the former New England Deaconess Hospital in 1987 and has had a clinical faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School ever since. Over the years, he has participated in research efforts as an investigator in bladder and prostate cancer. He has taught medical students and interns, and been a mentor to many surgery and urology residents during their training. However, the vast majority of his career has been devoted to caring for patients, and he now values those long-term relationships as he continues his scaled-down limited private practice. He strives to provide personal attention and quality compassionate care to all patients who have remained with him during this last transition .

During the last 12 years, Dr. Church has served as a committed volunteer providing urology services with faith-based teams in Mexico and Africa.

He now announces his retirement from clinical practice as of November 1, 2017. He will help all patients transition to new urological care. Feel free to call the office.
